Descushiel pleads for forgiveness: Apology to Nigerians and Nigeria Police Force

In the Conference for Senior Police Officers held in Imo State, Nigerian actress and singer, Mercy Isoyip, popularly known as Descushiel, has expressed her apologies to Nigerians and the Nigeria Police Force (NPF) for misquoting the national anthem.
During the event, Descushiel, who was dressed in a police uniform, went viral on Monday as she struggled with the lyrics while reciting the national anthem.
As a result, there were criticisms from various Nigerians on social media, as they mocked Descushiel, assuming she was a policewoman because of her attire.
However, on Tuesday, Descushiel posted a video on her Instagram account where she apologized for her mistakes.
“I deeply apologize for the error I made during the recital of the National Anthem. I am aware that such mistakes are unforgivable,” Descushiel stated.
“To the wonderful people of our country, I plead for your forgiveness. I also assure you that I will exercise more caution in the future to prevent these incidents from happening again.
“May God bless the Nigeria Police Force. May God bless the Federal Republic of Nigeria,” she concluded.
