Davido Sends a Message to His Late Son Ifeanyi, One Year after His Death

Today, October 31st, is a significant day for Nigerian music sensation Davido as it marks one full year since the tragic loss of his son, Ifeanyi.
On this day of remembrance, Davido took to Twitter to convey a deeply emotional message, reflecting on the poignant one-year anniversary of his son’s passing. In a touching and symbolic gesture, he shared an emoji of a flying bird.
The heart-wrenching tragedy that shook Davido and his family took place in 2022 when young Ifeanyi reportedly drowned within the confines of Davido’s luxurious Banana Island mansion. The distressing incident occurred while Davido and his fiancée, Chioma, were briefly away for an event. The couple returned to the devastating news of their son’s passing. Despite immediate and desperate efforts to save him, Ifeanyi was declared deceased upon arrival at EvacCare Hospital.
In the months leading up to this sad first anniversary, significant events have unfolded in Davido’s life. Just a few weeks ago, it was reported that Davido and Chioma joyfully welcomed twins, a boy and a girl, into their lives. The initial announcement of this joyful addition to the family was met with a flood of congratulatory messages from fans and well-wishers. However, what began as a time of celebration took an unexpected turn when a video emerged, showing Davido and Chioma tenderly cradling their newborns.
This video, shared by musician Samklef, led to a request from Davido to remove it from the public eye. When Samklef declined the request, tensions flared, resulting in an online dispute between Davido and Samklef. The exchange escalated to the point where Davido chose to block Samklef on social media platforms. In the days that followed, Samklef persistently sought to continue the dialogue with Davido, often expressing his sentiments on social media.
