Obiora, CBN Deputy Governor in Charge of Economic Policy, Arrested by DSS

Kingsley Obiora, the Deputy Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) responsible for economic policy, has allegedly been detained by the Department of State Services (DSS).
This reported arrest stems from accusations of financial mismanagement during the tenure of the suspended CBN governor, Godwin Emefiele.
Back in July, Bola Tinubu appointed a special investigator named Jim Obazee to oversee an inquiry into the activities of the CBN during Emefiele’s leadership.
As of now, there has been no official statement or comment on this matter from representatives of the DSS or CBN, including Dr. Peter Afunanya and Dr. Isa Abdulmumin.
